So you just picked up a fresh new pair of boots. How do you keep them looking and performing like new? With a few easy steps you can ensure your nubuck, suede, fabric or leather boots will look as good as you do.

Leather Boot Care:

Full-grain leather boots need regular conditioning. As leather loses its natural oils and moisture, it tends to dry out and crack. This is typically caused from a combination of water seepage, salts, dirt and grease. A leather conditioner ensures the leather stays supple and resists water penetration. Revivex Leather Water Repellent not only conditions full-grain leather, but it also provides water repellency, preventing water from seeping into the leather and causing further damage.

To protect leather boots:

STEP 1: Use a soft brush to remove any dirt or dried mud. Be gentle to avoid any scratching.

STEP 2: Mix a clean-rinsing soap, like Revivex Boot and Shoe Cleaner, with some water and dampen a cloth with the mixture. Wipe the boot clean. Remove the soapy water with a damp cloth.

STEP 3: To keep women’s boots looking like new, we recommend an application of ReviveX Leather Gel and Water Repellent once the boots have been cleaned. Apply the gel to a cloth and buff into the leather surface. Allow to dry overnight.

Nubuck or Suede Boot Care:

To keep nubuck, suede and fabric boots looking their best, you need to protect the fabric with a stain and water repellent. Suede, especially, needs to stay dry, so care of suede boots will differ from the care of leather boots.

To protect fabric or suede boots:

STEP 1: Use a soft brush to remove any dirt or dried residue.

STEP 2: Use a suede eraser to remove any stains in suede. To remove stains in fabric boots, begin by wetting the surface of the boot with water. Next, apply a clean-rinsing soap to a soft brush and scrub the boot. Rinse the soap away with water.

STEP 3: Apply a suede protectant or repellent, like Revivex Suede and Fabric Water Repellent. Our Revivex Suede and Fabric Boot Care Kit includes a suede eraser, Shoe and Boot Cleaner, brush and Suede and Fabric Water Repellent.

Your boots are now ready for action!
