Tent Hole Repairs
When you've got a hole in your tent, it can ruin your trip by letting in unwanted water and bugs. Nobody likes to be wet and swarmed by mosquitos. You can fix a hole in your tent several ways.
Use Seam Grip WP for permanent tent hole repair
Seam Grip WP permanently repairs common pinholes and tears in your tent. Apply just enough Seam Grip WP to cover the hole and spread 1/4” (5 mm) beyond. Allow to dry on a level surface overnight.
Use tape backing to repair larger holes and tears
For larger holes you'll need to use a patch as a backing (Tenacious Tape works well) then apply Seam Grip WP.
Fix a Tear with Tenacious Tape
Simply cut the tape so it overlaps the tear by 1/4 inch. Be sure to round the edges of the patch, and apply over the top of the repair. Use your hands to smooth out the edges.
Use a Tenacious Tape to Repair Mosquito Netting
Do you have a cut or tear in your tent's mosquito netting? Fix it with Tenacious Tape. Make tent netting taut by zipping an assembled tent closed. Un-zip a small area, just large enough for your hand to go through.
Cut to size and remove backing paper of Tenacious Tape. Place the patch and tape over the hole to be patched. Apply pressure to the Tenacious Tape with fingers to secure.
TIP: Start at the center of the patch then work out to the edges to avoid bubbles. If you can feel the stickiness of the adhesive through the mesh, apply a second Tenacious Tape patch to the opposite side of the original ring.
